Dan's friend Mason had his birthday party at Boomer's. Like Chuck E Cheese, it's a place where kids play games, they serve lousy food, and the noise level rivals what you'd hear at a heavy metal concert. Unlike C.E.C. there is laser tag, bumper boats, go-karts and mini-golf. And there's no mouse. That I saw, at least.
Dan had such a great time that I decided to take him back on a school holiday a few days later.
We both had fun. I must admit that Chuck E. Cheese is one part of Dan's childhood I won't miss.
Not even a little.
