Hand-me-downs are the coolest...

 

Hand-me-downs are Dan's favorite clothes, especially when they come from his much-adored cousins.

Here he sports a t-shirt given to him by his cousin Jake.

 

The belly is all Dan.

Today we met Grandpa for breakfast, then Dan showed Grandpa how great his new condo's pools are...

Tail Tale...

 

Today Dan came out of the bathroom with some toilet paper hanging out of his tush and declares, "I have a tail!"

You can't make this stuff up.

I took a picture, of course. But only Daddy & I will see it.

Dan's new friend, Mover Smitty...

 

Today we had a playdate at Shelby's pool. There were several Moms and their kids, and we had hummus and chips to munch and fruit and a blender to make stuff to sip, so it was a lovely time.

 

 

 

On the way home I asked if he had a good time playing with Shelby. He did! He spent a lot of time playing with a new friend, Tomas. Did he have fun with Tomas? Oh, yes! The kids had a ball together, and so did the Moms.

Then he told me, "And I played with my friend Urinal, too. His name is Mover Smitty. He lives in the boy's room. He's fun. He has a hole in him. And dirty water. I get to pee in him. But not poop. I get to flush him. I'm not supposed to touch the dirty thing in it. I like him!"

Sigh. Seems this phase is still going strong. What the heck. Plumbers do make lots of money...

Dan has really had a good time with some of the presents he got for his birthday. Yesterday he had a great time riding his bike...

 

But he'd ride it only for a moment before stopping for gas...

 

But really, at $3.29 a gallon who could blame him?

 

Sometimes it takes awhile for the tank to fill, so it's a good time to check out the neighborhood...

 

Before long he's ready to get back on the road again...

 

But he really doesn't seem to go far at all...

 

Before it's time to fill up again...

 

Perhaps if he went to a two-wheeler he'd get better mileage.

Dan's 4th Birthday Party wasn't all wet...

Saturday was Dan's 4th Birthday Party, and it was another memorable one. Even though I throw the same party every y ear and just change the cake. Well, this year we did add croquet...

Hey, if it ain't broke don't fix it...

We've had some rain the day of every one of Dan's birthday parties. Not unusual in Florida in July, so every year I make sure there are things to do inside as well...
