Yes, this is pretty much how Dan views scouting, at least so far.
But at least he did have some interest in visiting on of his fellow scout's homes to check out the chickens...
The kids learned quite a lot, and even saw how different kinds of chickens lay different color eggs...
We even got some eggs to bring home, of the green variety.
Though we had green eggs, Dan was very disappointed to hear that the eggs would not be green, as he was envisioning green eggs and ham for breakfast...
Well, give the boy what he wants...no matter how disgusting it looks.
And now every time we have eggs, Dan announces, "You know, we're eating CHICKEN!"
Buddy, I try not to think about that...

Cute! Actually, a chicken lays one egg every day with or without a rooster, so the eggs we eat are actually unfertilized! We've got a bunch of chickens.
