As long as I have my cookie...and my goldfish...

My friend Trish and I decided to do an Easter Egg Hunt for the little kids here in our community. Daniel hasn't really been introduced to candy yet - and I'd like to postpone that love affair for as long as possible. The eggs I put out were filled with raisins and goldfish - two of Daniel's favorite snacks.

Before the hunt the kids snacked on donuts and some cookies that I had made with Daniel's cousins Sydni and Evan the day before. Daniel LOVES these cookies. You cannot tear his attention away once he has one in his sights...

Evan was finally able to pull Dan away to start the hunt. The kids had a terrific time finding the eggs. Daniel opened an egg with goldfish first, and that was all she wrote. Goldfish in an egg? Cool! AND a cookie? HEAVEN!

The kids had tons of fun opening their eggs, then running around the yard playing the 2-year-old version of tag. The kids played peek-a-boo around the tree, played in puddles and generally had a blast.

I'm so glad my Mom was here to share the day with us! She was here for a week and we had a fantastic visit. Daniel really loves his Nana!
