Woods and rope swings and days gone by...

Behind my sister's house in Georgia is a terrific wooded area. There's a stream that goes through it, and as you walk the path towards the stream you can see the remnants of an abandoned tree house, wheel tracks from three wheelers and various other evidence of use that harken me back to my early childhood, when we lived in a house on the edge of woods. We would make tree forts, collect moss and tadpoles, pick wild blackberries and spend hours pretending to be something or other as we swatted the mosquitos that loved to bite us. Good stuff.

This particular stream has a rope swing that some enterprising youths have left to be enjoyed by whomever dares. Here are pictures of everyone taking their turn...
