Daniel has been in Cub Scouts all year, but has not yet really developed a love for it. He does like earning belt loops, but it's still not like, well, restrooms.
The Rocket Derby wasn't looking promising, either. Putting the rocket together was really fun...for Pete. Daniel was much more interested in watching the Webelos tie knots. Painting and decorating the rocket was lots of fun...for me.
Shooting off the rocket was fun. But that only took 30 seconds, and Dan was pretty bored for all of the other seconds...
Until...Dan won his division. At 54 feet, he came closest to the target, and won a trophy.
Let's see what happens next year...
