Dan started the day by giving Mommy a gift. He slept until 7:15 am. Yay!
He awoke in his normal wonderful mood, eager to start the day. We cuddled awhile, then he took a bath. Fun was had.
Then the phone calls from family and friends started. He smiles alot whenever anyone sings Happy Birthday. If you ask him how old he is he says something one could pretend sounds like "Two!". That's what we do.
After one of his favorite breakfasts of waffles and raisins we went to the pet store. He absolutely LOVES it! He runs all over the store, looking at the animals, running up and down the aisles and rearranging the merchandise, running into the bathrooms and flushing t he toilets. This is one cool pet store, and the staff is very tolerant.
There were lots of puppies to play with, and a lemur grabbed his nose. He loved the fish and the lizards, and he even saw a Wallaby. Grandma Sandi met us there, and though she'd love a puppy she resisted and went home with Daniel kisses instead of puppy kisses.
After that we stopped by my old office to get some more attention lavished. Everyone was very nice and complimentary and pretty much let him run all over the place.
On the way home Dan was singing "B-I-N-G-O!" in the car, but he was fading fast. He is currently napping, and I expect after such a morning it will be a long one.
The afternoon is his, too. Since the weather has cleared perhaps we will go to the park ot the pool as wew had originally planned for today.
