Last year Hurricane Wilma put quite a damper on Halloween for South Floridians. With no electricity, no gas and not much motivation, it passed with a whimper to the chagrin of most of the kids here. We did go to the one mall that was open, but only three or four stores were operating and it was basically a big dud, even though he was adorable in his Indian costume.
Being sick the past week Dan has had to miss several Halloween parties this year, too. That makes me sad, even though Dan doesn't realize what he's missing.
Last night he was finally well enough to attend his playgroup's party. Dan loved his costume while we were making it. Once he got to the party he just wanted to play unfettered, but impressively kept it on for about ten minutes. Click here to see video of him wearing the costume. Success!
