Daniel is being potty-trained. Hence there are many pictures of him sans pants of any kind. Good thing we live in Florida, and that it's August. November in New Hampshire would find him with numb nut... never mind.
There's lots of things you can do bottomless when you're three - or really any age. Make iced tea, for one. Swim. Play with butterflies. Drink beer.
And, being male, it's given Daniel an opportunity to discover a toy he'll never be without. Unless he starts dating Lorena Bobbit...
So, here's Dan making tea...
And here he is playing with a yellow butterfly. Unfortunately the butterfly and the swim fin she kept landing on were the same color yellow, so you have to really look to see it. Dan would lean down to try to touch it, and it was letting him. Then, when he tried to pick it up it would fly away. Dan would giggle and giggle! Then the butterfly would come back, and they'd do it all over again. The butterfly was actually playing with him! This went on for quite awhile, until he actually was able to pick her up (he has her in that last photo). Then she dumped him like a black banana.
At dinner Dan decided to play with Poppy's beer bottle. And, before anyone reports me to DCF, the cap was still on the bottle when he put it in his mouth...
At this point in this post I had a few pictures of Dan touching himself, discovering what generations of men are obsessed with. They were taken in the spirit of toddler antics. Shortly after posting them I was warned by a very good friend to remove them. Her concern was that they could be appropriated by a pedophile, or be misinterpreted by a pedophilia watchdog group or law enforcement.
How very sad that she's right.
So, here's Dan enjoying the new radio-operated boat he got for his birthday. But know that he did enjoy another toy more...
Keep away, Ms. Bobbitt. And pedophiles.

You're cracking me up! Way to go, Dan on the potty training.
Oh, Dan, if only I could be there for your teenage-rediscovery of these photos...
Such a cutie! Emma thinks it is awesome that the butterfly played a game with him.
