For the first year ever, we had Dan's birthday in our own home. Being Florida and July, I was always worried that the party would have to move inside, and we just didn't have room. His first 4 parties were at my mother-in-law's home.
This year we had it at home, and let me tell you how much easier it was to make the cake and not have to transport it!!!
Shepard Park made it's debut and was a huge hit!
And no park is complete without restrooms, right?
Yes, that's a urinal. And there's a toilet on the other side. Dan
We have plenty of room now, so I was unperturbed when it started to rain on party day. And it didn't dampen anyone spirits!
Some little hands got into the cake...
Dan and the other kids could have cared less. After all, there was plenty of cake to go around!
There was the obligatory present opening, to which Dan could be heard exclaiming, "Oh my gosh! This is the best present ever!" several times...
The weather cleared enough for the kids to enjoy the pool and slide...
And after a day filled with friends, fun and food we all collapsed into bed. A special thanks to my kitchen fairies who made sure I didn't wake up to a mess today!
