We woke up early Christmas morning to discover that Santa had indeed visited the house, and, smartly, left the gifts on the rug instead of under the tree. After all, the tree had already fallen once this year...
My father and Uncle David joined us for the gift opening, and it made it really special for all of us.
Daniel wore his new train pajamas - the one gift from us he was permitted to open on Christmas eve.
Santa had brought gifts for Grandpa and Uncle David, too. Amazing how he knew they'd be there, huh?
He wasn't really into opening presents. He wanted to play with the Karaoke Elmo Aunt Susie gave him the night before...
Santa brought some games for Dan, though Mommy and Daddy may play with them, too.
Grandpa really liked the calendar with the pictures of Dan and his cousins...
Daddy got a blacklight for his train layout (an after-Halloween steal at 75% off)...
Uncle David got one of his favorites - a Cadbury Egg, Christmas version...
And Daddy didn't at first believe that he got his new computer. I had stored it at his Mom's house and just wrapped the mouse. He had to call over there for confirmation before he believed me...
After gift opening we went to my Mother-in-law's for a delicious brunch, and then exchanged gifts with them.
It was a wonderful Christmas, with wonderful family and friends, wonderful food and wonderful gifts. Thank you all!
We are so blessed.
Here are all the pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
