Sunset and gators...
Tonight we went to watch the sunset at Lox Road. Pete and I have been going there for years. It's always been a lovely date. Since Daniel came along we've gone out there less as life just lifed along, so it was good to be back.
We juuuuuuuuuuust made it in time to see the sun go down. The colors were magnificent.
Pete and Dan did what they always do - throw rocks.
I did what I always do - take photos.
This guy didn't seem to mind us checking him out, though he was giving Pete the evil eye. That was because even the alligator knew it wasn't a good idea to tell a five year-old that he wasn't to get too close, or the alligator could come and get him and drag him into the water.
Pete will, of course, be the one getting up in the middle of the night with Daniel should he have any alligator nightmares tonight.
Here's Dan giving me another Chandler smile.
There were some really fun cloud formations...
Another gator...
Walking back to the car...
The gorgeous, almost harvest moon.
All of the photos from today...
