Everything's dandy in the quest for candy...

We decided to hook up with friends and do our Trick-or-Treating in their townhouse community. After all, efficiency matters.

Since today is all about healthy eating, we had a pre-event feast of mummy dogs, pizza and tater tots...

We all posed for the obligatory photos...

And the kids headed out!

We ran into a little issue because all of the townhouses have front porches with steps, which are not so easy to navigate in Dan's costume, so at first Pete was having to lift him onto each porch...

As you can imagine, I was treated to a very low-key request to buy Dan a costume from a store next year.

After awhile Dan got the hang of it himself, so everything was dandy in the quest for candy...

About half-way through Dan decided to forgo the costume so he could run and be first in line to get candy, so Pete donned it...

And Dan was off...

There was one very cool house that was really decked out. The kids had lots sof fun checking out the creepy stuff and being approached by a ghoul...

The fog was a big hit, too...

By this time everyone was pretty well spent, so we went back to the house.

After visiting for a little while (and sampling some of the spoils), we went to my brother's neighborhood in search of his cousins, and Dan went around to several more houses (both with and without his costume). We didn't find them right away, so we drove around until we did. Dan played with them for awhile, went to a couple more houses, and then we went home. Exhausted.

Another terrific chapter of memories. Can't wait for what comes next!

And next year, remind me not to wear a hat. It totally blocked the flash in most of the photos. Oh, well!
